Pong. Eat. Drink. @ Pips & Bounce! We believe that every town deserves a great place for folks to come together through the joy of pong! We would love to bring our unique brand of fun everywhere, but we can't do it alone. We’re looking for fellow “pongtrepreneurs” to join our growing family!
Who We Are
Pips & Bounce opened our first location in November 2014 in Portland, Oregon. It was the brainchild of two brothers, Mike & Eugene, who had a crazy dream of bringing back fond (and instilling new) memories of table tennis fun in a fresh and friendly way.
Why Pips & Bounce?
In the process of creating a special something out of virtually nothing, we have developed a unique formula for bringing to life a ping pong social club where everyone belongs. As we set our sights on sharing the joy of pong, our experience and insights serve as the foundation of an original playbook for becoming a pongtrepreneur, built upon lots of trial-and-error, several lucky guesses, and occasional flashes of brilliance.
Why ping pong?
Ping pong has been a thing since forever, but only recently has it become a mainstream industry experiencing a modern renaissance:
Ping pong is the most popular indoor sport in the world! The International Table Tennis Federation reports that some 300 million people enjoy playing ping pong around the globe.
There are 8,000 registered players who train and take the sport seriously, but more importantly, there are over 17 million Americans who enjoy hitting around in rec rooms, bars, dorms, parks, etc..
From 2013 to 2015, ping pong experienced 11% sales growth in equipment in the U.S. This outpaced billiard and darts, according to the National Sporting Goods Association.

What does it take?
The rewards of becoming a Pips & Bounce pongtrepreneur are unique. Your club will become a special part of the fabric of life in your community, a place where folks come together and make their own amazing memories through the joy of pong - all thanks to you!
Becoming a pongtreneur requires a certain level of craziness, a willingness to depart from the path of least resistance. You don’t need to even have any particular table tennis skill, but you will need to be able to ride the highs and the lows of running your own business. You’ll have to be ready to make tough decisions and incur more risks than most people are willing to take. We can’t promise that you’ll get rich quick (or at all, for that matter), but we can guarantee that you’ll laugh out loud, cry occasionally, and learn a ton about the world and yourself along the way.
Depending on the market, pongtreneurs should expect to invest/raise between $500K - $1.0 million to become the friendly face of Pips & Bounce in your hometown.
